How it all began
Funding for the Combined Armed Forces Federation UK is derived from Membership Fees and Donations.Separate Accounts and Budgets are allocated to incomes from each of the Present and Past Memberships of the Armed Forces. In other words income from Present Members is reserved for Present Membership matters related to financial and legal issues and income from Past Members is reserved for their financial and legal issues.Donations are shared equally between Present and Past Membership Accounts unless specifically identified by the donor.
Operational Administrative Costs are also shared equally between Present and Past Members e.g. Web-site Management etc unless specifically identified and allocated to one or the other e.g. Advertising etc.

CONSTITUTION AND RULES
COMBINED ARMED FORCES FEDERATION UK
- ORGANISATION OF MEMBERSHIP
(a) Membership is open to all ex service members and wives as follows
Royal Navy Lt Commander and below
Royal Marines Lt Colonel and below
Army Lt. Colonel and below
Royal Air force Squadron, Leader and below
Honorary Membership will be offered to those member promoted beyond those
quoted above during membership if they so wish
(b) THE FEDERATION. Will consist of those eligible for membership who are
Annual Members who have paid the minimal subscription as laid down by the
council Those who are not paid up members can not vote at any Federation
(c) HONORARY MEMBERS.
As appointed as per 1(a) above.
To assist the members in anyway possible to ensure that any legitimate matter that affects their financial and Legal Affairs are represented to Government Ministers and Departments.
This will be decided by the council
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERS.
(a) To receive copies of any publications and circulars issued by the Federations Headquarters
(b) Seek advice and help in respect of their pensions
(c) Attend and vote ( see sub paragraph l(b) above) at appropriate A.G.M's and Special meetings of the Federation
(d) Be eligible for election to the Council or Branch (if formed) committee of the Federation
MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
of the affairs of the Federation is vested in a Council
elected and organised as follows:
(a) THE COUNCIL will consist of
(I) President (ex officio)
(III) Director General
(IV) Hon Secretary General
(V) Hon Treasurer
(VI) Up to 12 members to represent the membership at meetings
(b) COUNCIL CHAIRMAN At any meetings of the Council in the absence of the
Chairman of the Federation and Council, members present will appoint a
Chairman (Pro-tern.) from members present This will normally be the Director
(c) The Chairman and Director General will normally be elected for 3 years but
will be eligible for re-election
(d) FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS The Council will normally meet at least once
per year and all meetings must be notified to those eligible to attend 21 days in
(e) ANY VACANCY May be filled by office bearers of the Federation but such
co-options will only stand until the next A G M
(f) The Council will have to appoint special officials form the members such as
Welfare Officers, Public Relations Officer, Etc.
(g) BRANCH REPRESENTATIVES, (If Branches formed) may appoint two
members for the council
BRANCHES OF THE FEDERATION.
If and when formed will be notified of their Rules
(a) The Income and funds of the Federation shall be used as directed by the
(b) The Honorary Treasurer responsible for The payment of any monies received
into The federations Bank Account or Accounts Any surplus may be invested
subject to principles laid down by the council. Funds may be disbursed for the
running of the Federation in pursuit of its aims
(c) The financial year shall run from 1st April each year to the 31st March each
(d) The Federation will appoint an Auditor at it's A.G.M to hold office with
respect to one year
(e) The Federation Treasurer will prepare a Statement of Accounts for the Auditor
one month prior to the A.G.M.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
Of The Federation will be called in writing to all members of the Federation at least 30 day s beforehand. The date of the A.G.M will be agreed at a Council Meeting. The Agenda will, unless notified by the Secretary General be as follows -
(a) Minutes of the Last A.G.M.
(b) Report by the Federation Chairman
(c) Director General/Secretary General
(d) Treasurer With Audited accounts.
(e) Election of Officers and other Council Members
(f) Appointment of Auditor/Examiners
(g) Review of subscription rates if recommended by the Council
(h) Branch Reports (If branches are formed)
(i) Any other business The Honorary Federation Secretary General should normally be notified in writing at least 14 days before.
Items proposed for A.G.M.
can be agreed by postal votes
EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETINGS.
Of the federation may be convened by direction of the Council or on a request in writing signed by not less that 30 members. 30 days notice in writing must be given by the Federation Honorary Secretary General to all members.
at all meetings will be by members in person, except Overseas Members who may vote by proxy In case of the parity in votes the person in the chair will have the casting vote
at Meetings of the Federation
(a) Council and Committee Meetings: 3
(b) Federation A.G.M's: 25
(c) Federation Extraordinary Meeting: 60 (or 25% of members attending if less than 200)
If the- conduct of any Member be considered detrimental to the Federation by the council it will give notice to such to such Member of the conduct complained of and such Member may within 21 days thereafter make written representation to the Federation Council After further consideration the Council may on a majority of at least two thirds of its Members present and voting, remove the persons name from the list of members or allow the appeal
DISSOLUTION OF THE FEDERATION.
May be implemented by a 75% majority vote at any properly constituted General Meeting In This event, all property and funds will forthwith be transferred to such Service Charities as may be decided on. divided between the R.N. Army RAF, in equal proportions
THE CONSTITUTION & RULES.
May not be added to, amended or rescinded except at a General Meeting of the Federation and then only providing that the proposed change was included in the Agenda to be forwarded with a notice calling the Meeting and with the consent of not less than two thirds of those Members present and voting
